FinScope Uganda 2023 Survey Report

FinScope 2023 is the fifth national survey since 2006 of how Ugandans aged 16 and over save, borrow, insure and transact. It was run by the Bank of Uganda with FSD Uganda, UBOS and partners. It tracks changes since 2018, including a rise in the share of people saving to about 60 per cent and a sharp increase in those reporting unexpected financial shocks, and it compares Uganda with its neighbours. For SACCOs, it shows where informal and cooperative finance still fills gaps that banks and mobile money leave. Original source: https://fsduganda.or.ug/finscope-uganda-2023-survey/
